Labradoodles are a hybrid breed of the Labrador Retriever and the Miniature or Standard Poodle.
They were originally bred as a hypoallergenic service dog. They quickly become a popular designer/family dog due to their beautifully affectionate and friendly nature. They are highly intelligent and social dogs so with obedience training at a young age will be a great addition to the family.
Labradoodles are usually medium to large in size at around 30-75 cm and range in weight from 10kgs to 40kgs depending on the size of the parents. This means they do require regular exercise but running around the yard or a daily 30 minute walk will suffice.
As labradoodle parents are of different breeds they can vary in appearance. One of the popular attributes is their low shedding coats. They can range in colour and their coat type can vary from a curly to wavy dense coat.
The Labradoodle has a life expectancy of 10-15 years.
