Spoodles are often considered designer dogs. They have become quite popular because of their delightful temperaments, which is the main trait these dogs have been bred for.
Spoodles are usually medium sized at around 35cm–45cm, with long soft ears and mid-length hair. Their appearances may vary from dog to dog because their parents are two different breeds, but they have some common characteristics. Most Spoodles have mid-length curly hair, are shorter than average, but can be very strong. They are usually round-headed with long muzzles, and long ears that often hang low below the chin. They have a typical life span of 11-13 years.
Usually, Spoodles have an easy-going and sociable nature. They love playing and interacting with children. They are also quite intelligent, very loyal, and immensely affectionate.
Also since the Spoodles are very playful, they may require lots of activity, especially when you consider that they are prone to overeating. To avoid health problems make sure your Spoodle gets regular exercise.
Spoodles typically have a heavily wavy, dense, and curly coat, just like their parents. Because of this, they should be combed and brushed every day. Although they do not shed a lot, clipping is still required, depending on the length of their coats. Aside from that, their ears should be dried properly to prevent infection.
The Spoodle is a crossbreed of a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle. Because both parents are highly intelligent breeds, their offspring can be fast learners.
